Les Diaboliques est un excellent thriller horrifique français réalisé par Henri-Georges Clouzot, qui met en scéne l'excellent Paul Meurisse qui joue Michel Delassalle, le directeur de l'institut privé et le mari odieux de Christina (joué par Vera Clouzot) la propriétaire (très fragile) du pensionnat pour garçons ou parmi les enseignant il y a Nicole Horner (joué par l'excellente Simone Signoret) la maîtresse de Michel... une compagne d'infortune, qui partage avec la frêle Christina... sa haine envers cet odieux personnage qu'elles s’apprêtent a tuer.... Une superbe œuvre adapté du roman de Boileau-Narcejac ou on trouve parmi les élèves du pensionnat se trouvent deux figurants célèbres : Georges Poujouly et Johnny Hallyday.... mais aussi le superbe Charles Vanel qui joue le commissaire à la retraite Alfred Fichet qui va mener sa propre enquête sur cette drole d'affaire... l'excellent Pierre Larquey qui joue monsieur Drain et le presque débutant Michel Serrault qui joue monsieur Raymond, les enseignants de l'institut Delassalle... l'excellent Jean Brochard qui joue monsieur Plantiveau, le concierge de l'institut et Noël Roquevert qui joue monsieur Herboux, le mari d'une agrégée de grammaire, le locataire râleur de Nicole à Niort ou va ce passer l'abominable fait divers... Mais qui a aussi une particularité dans son utilisation, ou plutôt dans sa non-utilisation, de la musique composée par Georges Van Parys, qui ne dure que 2 min 21 s pour le générique de début, et 24 secondes pour celui de fin... et d'avoir impressionné (entre autres) le réalisateur Alfred Hitchcock, qui après le succès du film, demanda à Boileau-Narcejac de lui écrire un scénario dans la même veine que celui des Diaboliques : ce fut Sueurs froides... Enfin bref, un monument du genre.
